Unfortunately we failed to put forward a team for the 1st leg in Guildford earlier this year - and it would be really great to make up for it this leg :-D
I've finally updated the event page so you can view further details about the shoot here:

and you can show your interest by either emailing Katie and myself at the usual AFM Archers email address, talking to us at one of the remaining practice sessions before the shoot, or filling in the below form:

Three of AFMA were entered into the JNOC competition this year, Luca, Sophie G and Aspen. Sadly, Sophie had sustained another shoulder injury and was unable to compete.
The event was held at the National Sports Centre at Lilleshall in Shropshire. It a fantastic resource with sports halls and pitches to die for. This year AGB had made it the biggest event ever with 91 targets spread out across 2 football pitches with nearly 300 entrants from all over the UK.
The Saturday dawned bright and breezy with pretty hefty gusts especially on Luca’s field. There was a great atmosphere across the ground and it was fantastic to see so many young archers across the ages. It was metric day, Luca shot a Metric I (70m,60m,50m,30m) comi…

On a hot, sunny Sunday in June (really there was one) a team from AFMA headed over to Whitehill for the PAWs shoot. The name is an acronym of the clubs involved…. Petersfield, us and Whitehill…..
The day started badly for some as David Green had a broken bow so sadly couldn’t bolster our numbers. However undeterred the intrepid AFMA team of Richard Ellis, Andrew and Adam Stickland, Ryan Selby, Dario Alexander, Catherine Fairlamb, Aspen Salisbury and Melissa Salisbury warmed up in the sweltering heat!!!
Our hosts were most genial supplying bacon rolls and as much tea and coffee as you could drink. The shooting commenced with the shooting of National and Western rounds depending on age and ability. Everyone was …

SCAA 2015 Indoor Open Team Event
- by Aspen Salisbury
On Saturday 11th April, 3 teams travelled to Crawley to compete in the Sussex County Archery Association 2015 Indoor Open Team Event. Alton and Four Marks Archers entered two senior teams and one junior team. The event was held at the amazing K2 sports centre which dwarfs Alton Sports Centre! The main hall was set up length ways with about 27 teams of 4 entered.
Before the shooting started Katie, Sophie and I were looking around at the archery stalls outside at some unusual archery equipment etc. we saw a strange green ‘cover’ which none of us could place as archery equipment so Katie asked the shop keeper what it was…… “an i pad case” was the answer!! Obviously the next piece of must have archery kit is an i pad (hey Mum and …
