Want to start shooting?

We run two beginners courses each year, one in the spring (Wednesday evenings) and one late summer (Saturday mornings).

Our courses take place over three consecutive weeks. Each session lasts for around three hours and provides you with the chance to learn about the sport of archery, and, of course, the basic knowledge that you need to shoot safely. We try to spend as much time as possible on the field shooting. We will teach you two different styles of shooting and introduce you to all the different bow types.  

You will be trained by Hampshire County Coaches, and we will supply you with all the equipment you will need.

On completion of the course you will receive a certificate that will allow you to join the club. The certificate is also valid at any other clubs around the country for two years.

Summer Outdoors Beginners' Course 2024
Cost: £75 per person

August 17th, 10:00 - 13:00
August 24th, 10:00 - 13:00
Important: Attendance at all three sessions is required to complete the course
